Built on a Charter Business We Run
Yacht Away Now runs private yacht charters out of St. Petersburg, and we operate it alongside its founder, Captain Josh Wilson. Every system we sell to charter operators ran on it first.
A booking from the website lands in one database. The guest pays a deposit online and signs the charter contract, and only then does the trip go on the calendar, so the calendar shows confirmed charters rather than every inquiry. Once a charter is signed and paid, captains are notified by text and email with a link to the booking. A captain can accept the trip or decline it, and a declined trip stays open for the others.
Inquiries that do not book enter a follow-up sequence by email, with texts only for guests who gave SMS consent. After the trip, consenting guests get a text asking for a Google review. A back office separate from the public site holds bookings, payments and captains in one place.
Charter OS: The Same System for Other Operators
Charter OS is the product that came out of Yacht Away Now. It takes the booking and operations stack we built for our own charters and turns it into software any operator can run under its own name.
The booking loop covers inquiries, nurture, contracts, deposits and dispatch in one system, so a charter moves from first message to confirmed trip without being copied between tools. Each charter company runs as its own tenant under its own brand. Operators can start a 14-day trial from the signup page and choose a plan sized by the number of boats, with self-serve billing.
Each operator also gets a public opt-in page for business texting, which is what carriers check during A2P 10DLC review. For a charter company that texts guests and captains, skipping that page puts every message at risk of being filtered.
Charter Websites We Have Built in Tampa Bay
Gulfport Charters runs long-range offshore fishing trips from Mariner's Cove Marina in Gulfport. We rebuilt their Squarespace site so every trip links to a booking form with the trip and price already filled in. A Claude-backed concierge on the booking page answers questions, and its instructions are generated from the site's own trip data, so it cannot quote a price the pages do not show. Booking requests reach the captains by email with the angler set as reply-to.
Next Level Charters runs private charters on Relentless, a Beneteau Gran Turismo 40, from downtown St. Petersburg: 4, 6 and 8 hour trips for up to six guests, captain included. We built the booking site and destination pages for trips such as Egmont Key and Shell Key, and connected it to the verified Google Business Profile and Search Console.
Stuck at Cee Charters runs fishing and boat charters in St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay. Its site covers inshore and offshore trips and sunset cruises and hands bookings to its online booking provider. Well Played Editions puts yacht charters, private chefs, jets and crew behind one concierge enquiry, and its form records which boats a visitor looked at.
Where AI Helps a Charter or Marine Business
Charter inquiries arrive at night, at weekends and from visitors planning a trip from out of state, often while the captain is on the water. The first operator to give a clear answer on date, duration, guest count and price tends to keep the conversation. An assistant that answers from your own trip and rate data can do that at any hour and hand anything custom to a person.
The other gains are operational. Deposits and signed contracts gate the calendar, so a hold is never mistaken for a booking. Captains get trip details by text instead of a phone call. Weather and cancellation questions get your approved policy word for word, and a person makes the call on the day. After the trip, the review request goes out without anyone having to remember it.
